The Kellian Hockey Advanced Skill Summer Clinics are tailored for players seeking to elevate their skills in skating, puck control, and shooting with a heightened focus on advanced techniques and a faster pace. These camps offer intensive on-ice training, with participants spending 2 hours per day on the ice from Monday to Friday, excluding the off-ice component. These camps are designed for players aged 13-18 years (boys) and 13-18 years (girls).

    Refining control, stability, and efficiency at top speed.

  • Advanced Transitions
    Seamless, explosive changes of direction under game pressure.

  • Punch Turns (Game Application)
    Using punch turns to escape pressure and create separation.

  • Mohawks & Open Hip Mobility
    Improving agility, deception, and positioning in tight spaces.

  • Power Skating Mechanics
    Maximizing stride efficiency, acceleration, and top-end speed.

  • Crossovers for Speed & Separation
    Generating power and gaining an edge on opponents.

  • Puck Control at Speed
    Executing skills cleanly while moving at game pace.

  • Deception & Problem Solving
    Learning how to manipulate defenders and make smarter plays.

  • Small Area Competitiveness
    Applying skills in tight, game-like situations under pressure.

  • Decision-Making Under Pressure
    Training players to think and execute quickly in real scenarios.

Our commitment to personalized instruction remains paramount ensuring that each participant receives substantial individual attention. The primary emphasis of these Kellian Hockey summer skill sessions revolves around advancing skating techniques, including deeper balance, high-tempo inside and outside edge control, explosive stops and starts, powerful crossovers, and proficient forwards and backwards skating. Additionally, players will engage in skating drills with a puck, placing a strong emphasis on puck control and enhancing overall stick handling skills.

  • Boys-only session: Ages 13 through 18 years old.

  • Girls-only session: Ages 13-18 years old.

  • Players younger than 13 may be considered with a recommendation from their current coach.
