This course is all about mastering smooth and powerful skating by focusing on one key element: balance. The secret isn’t complicated—it’s about understanding and leveraging your balance to maximize your stride efficiency. But here’s the big question: how do you find that balance? How do you stay steady on that outside edge during crossovers? What about the balance needed for a Mohawk? In this course, I’ll break down the mechanics of each skating technique, starting with the fundamentals of balance and how to find it. Then, we’ll move step-by-step through each technique. I’m excited to share my simple yet powerful balance technique—so easy to grasp that once you see it, you'll start improving your strides almost immediately. We’ll begin by learning a series of balance-developing techniques that we’ll use throughout our training. In the videos, I’ll show you how to find the right balance, how to perform each technique, and how to apply it during practice. We’ll cover 9 basic skating techniques that lay the foundation for all the balance work you’ll need. Once you’ve mastered these individual techniques, you’ll move on to beginner sequences designed for 15-minute balance workouts. You can even use parts of these workouts as a warmup before games! We’ll then progress to intermediate sequences, where basic techniques are combined into more dynamic moves, and eventually to advanced sequences. And here’s the best part: **Ear Bud Training.** With Ear Bud Training, you’ll have an audio file of your chosen sequence that you can listen to while practicing at the rink. I’ll guide you through the training in real time, and you can load multiple files for a complete session.
