Kellian Elevate Summer Camp
Powerskating and Puck Control
The Kellian Elevate Power Skating and Puck Control camp is geared towards players who want to improve on the different elements of skating skills and puck control. With a low coach to camper ratio, each skater is going to get a lot of personal attention. The emphasis of the Elevate summer camp is centered around skating techniques such as balance, inside and outside edge control, stops and starts, crossovers and of course, solid forwards and backwards skating. But skating is also done with a puck... so there will also be a heavy influence on puck control with many of the exercises and challenges done with a puck.
A typical day at camp... drop kids off for a stick handling clinic at 9:00 am. Ice time at 10:00 - 11:15am. Then we break for lunch. Off ice game-awareness training. We will be playing different games with the idea to "create your plan" before you receive the puck, so you are learning to look around before you get it. We will play games like ultimate frisbee, various types of ball games (handball, soccer) and knee hockey if we have inclement weather. 2nd ice time is at 1:45pm to 3:00pm. Pick up your kids between 3 and 3:30pm.
Full protective equipment is expected. Jerseys are provided. Boys-only and girls-only sessions available. Limit 20 skaters.
Camps are available to book after April 1st.
